Shortly after 6:30 AM on Valentine’s Day, Bedford Communications dispatched units to the area of West Lynchburg Salem Turnpike and Pearsall Drive for a MVC involving multiple vehicles and reports of one driver trapped. Engine 1 (w/ three), Rescue 1 (w/four), Medic 14-1, and County 10 arrived to find four vehicles involved and one entrapment. The driver was removed from her vehicle and transported with non-life-threatening injuries. Both lanes of eastbound traffic were shut down for approximately one hour before vehicles could be removed.
