Bedford Countys Special Operations Command got its first look at its TAC-1 today when it arrived back in Bedford after being built in Roanoke. Next the truck will go to McBride Sign Company to be lettered and striped and then to the radio shops to be equipped with radios and emergency lighting. After all that has been completed the truck will return home to greet the equipment it will carry that has been waiting for its arrival for over a year. TAC-1 is equipped with a 10000 lb. Stellar Crane a 15000 lb. Warn winch Dewalt Generator Stanley Hydraulic Tools Acetylene and Exothermic Torches Night Vision Swift-water Equipment Rope Equipment a Search Cam and other miscellaneous collapse equipment.
