Between EMS calls and Fire Alarms, members battled a wind driven 40 acre brush fire that included dozens of hay bales all while a first due working structure was being handled by Engine 1. Company 1 responded to its second working fire of the day in Stewartsville-Chamblissburg Volunteer Fire Dept area. Crews arrived to find a structure fully involved with fire extending into the nearby wood line, multiple lines were used along with extensive overhaul to extinguish the fire. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation. ...
