0915hrs- Bedford Communications alerted Companys 1 Bedford-1st due and 5 2nd due RIT to 4463 Forest Road for reported house on fire. Chief 1 arrived to find smoke showing from the eves of a single-story wood frame private dwelling marking it a working fire and establishing Forest Road command. Wagon 1 with four arrived next and began stretching a line into the interior as Division 1 as Medic 14-1 assumed two-out. Ladder 1 with six split to conduct the search and start ventilation as Engine 1 with three established water supply with Tanker 5. Rescue 5 established RIT on side Alpha as crews quickly determined that the home owner had extinguished the majority of fire on a rear porch and checked for extension into the attic. With fire contained command returned Tanker 1 with four and Tanker 5 to service. The roof division removed a small amount of shingles and sheeting to access and extinguish a small amount of fire that extended into several rafters in the attic. With all searches negative and the fire under control command began releasing companies back to service. Units operating W1 L1 E1 T5 R5 M14-1 M1-1 County 10 and Chief 1.
