7:12 pm- Bedford Communications alerted Company 1 for a possible house on fire with smoke evident on the interior. As units began marking en route Bedcom dispatched the BFD to a second run just north of the house fire, this time for a MVC with possible entrapment. Chief 1 arrived on Forestview Circle to find a single-story wood frame private dwelling and reported moderate smoke showing from sides A & D and declared a "working fire". W1,R1 and T5 responded to Forestview and held the fire to the room and contents. E1 and L1 took in the MVC which involved an overturned vehicle with three injuries. Total Company 1 personnel: 18. ... Rescue 1 (with six) and Support 1/ RAV 1 (remote access vehicle) operated at this incident earlier today involving an Amtrak train and a backhoe at Bellvue Road in Goode. R1 was assigned by command to access and remove the patient who was approximately 65 feet below grade on the tracks. A 4:1 haul system with stokes basket was established using R1 as an anchor but the patient was actually transported out by the RAV who found a quick access point in and out.
