With Engine 1 (with four) already out on an EMS assist, Wagon 1 (with four) was the first unit to arrive to find smoke showing from a single-story commercial structure. 1315hrs- The daylight crew (eleven members) trained on R-1's high-pressure air bag system today after responding to a wires down/grass fire run this morning and a small mulch fire just after lunch. With weather temperatures reaching low 90's the past seven days and no rain, stations can expect wildland fires to pick up on days that have low humidity. With an overall slow month, members have kept themselves busy with training on equipment that doesn't get used daily as well as working on projects around the firehouse. Congratulations to Hops "Frozen Meat" Scott on his recent promotion!
